I am sure by now you are wondering what are the quickest way for you to level up faster and expand to a bigger farm size in Farmville, right? Of course, the more land you have to plant the more money you make from the harvest of your crop.
This however, does not mean that you can continue to grow your farm indefinitely. After all ploughing and planting are not free. You'll just waste time and money if you plow a lot of areas, and find that you can not afford to buy seeds to plant in them. My advice is you may want to develop a little at a time so you are able to
enjoy all your available space.
Consider these first;
1. What plants give you more XP (experience points) for your buck?
In the first stages of the game the only plant seed options available to you will be be strawberries, eggplants, corn and soybeans. Each of these plant seeds has many different characteristics and different advantages.
The type of seed you decide to plant will affect the way you advance in Farmville. This is because your chosen plant will dictate how often you need to visit your farm (hourly, every 12 hours, everyday or maybe even every four days) and the speed you want to advance in the game.
In general here are some guidelines in helping you make the right choice for your preferred style of gameplay.
i) Strawberries will be ready for harvest four hours after you plant them. If you do not return to harvest them in eight hours if they will wither and die and you will not be able to harvest and earn money out of them.
ii) Eggplant take two days to grow, so you can consider planting these instead of strawberries if you're not going to check on your farm for a while. This way, you get the best from your land and you gain more coins at the end of the growth cycle. Please take note that plants that take longer to grow generally sell for more coins at the time of harvest.
In the next post we'll look a how experience points (XP) is going to affect your planting decisions.
